What size is,,,,,,,,
« on: Jan 07, 2022, 10:03 PM »
Happy new year all.
Quick question I have versys  mk2 650,looked everywhere getting conflicting results.
I want to buy Oxford heated grips Advanced, they are on sale.
Which size as can't check now or tomorrow.
Some people say sports fit perfectly, some say bit short with gap?
Others say Adventure fit perfectly,or way to long.
I just want to fit with least hassle, cutting or having gaps.
And yes tried search on here ,million hits after 6 page gave up
So anyone got THE definitive answer?
Well thank you
ZB p.s sorry it's a bit long

I have the sports on my Mk3.

They were fitted by dealer at time of purchase, so I never saw the originals or how easy/difficult they were to fit.

They work well though, never had any complaints after 3yrs of year round use

I fitted the Oxford Adventure type to my Versys 1000. They needed shortening, I think the instructions advise how far you can go.

If you've got the nouse to fit them shortening them is a breeze.

Apologies if I'm too late to the party. I've got a mk 2, I fitted the advanced sports version to mine with no problem on size.

I also made my own bracket out of ally as the Oxford one rusts. Hope these links to the gallery work!

Yep, they work and that's spot on!

you're right the oxford one does rust and look a bit naff after not very long. The blue light or the light for the coolest two settings has also gone, but just the LED, the heat still works.
