Stiff back brake lever
« on: Jan 22, 2022, 02:13 PM »
I had this on my Mk1 versys so I disassembled the brake lever and it was pretty stuck with rust. Greased it up, put it all back together and now it's working perfectly. Can't work out how to add pictures.

At the top of the page there is a link to photo s gallery shows up when you are logged in
You may need to set up an account there as well when I first used it I could not log in with the usual forum log in so I created a new account on photos gallery
Try see if it will let you log in with your usual details
Then when you go in to photos gallery there is a button to upload photos
upload your photos then copy the bb code that appears after uploading

Go back to your post and paste in the code if posting multiple piccys I sometimes find you need to leave a gap between links
So you copy a link then hit return
Then paste your next link and so on and it should work

Had this on my old Mk3, thought the rear caliper had seized as stood a while due to early lockdown (2020) but used the workshop manual, did exactly as IrishBob's done with the lever and was as good as new again.
Bloody trick to get to with everything you have to remove and all the springs etc.
