Glad to hear you are enjoying tagging along with us.  I may be a bit biased, but the roads around here are really as good as they get, and there are really a lot of great destinations/roads to choose from.

No, I don't get paid by the Oregon/Washington tourism agencies.   :211:    At least as far as you know...

 It was a memorable day.

I've been through the region a couple of times but never explored it as we have over the last few days. The variety of roads, landscapes, weather, and towns is amazing. By eastern N.A. standards as well as European/U.K. it is sparsely populated so light traffic and little police presence make it a biker's Mecca.

Many thanks to Gustavo for doing both the write ups and photography. As the only actual witness I have to give him 10/10.
He got it right.

Goodness me bit that is an ancient fuel pump.
I am guessing most items of that vintage do not work any more.

I actually used one of those in Newfoundland in the late '60s. That was in the same community in which the diner was
'Closed for supper'   :008:.

well at least we can say that you are rarely overtly rude.................  unless the occasion calls for a bit of bluntness...

Rob is looking very fit and well......obviously all this riding keeps him young :123A:

Made it back home after a long day of battling winds.  There are some more pics, but maybe tomorrow.

Rob - did they let you back into Canada?  Did they buy that story about you spending your vacation chasing a red bike around the Palouse?   :biker1:  :biker1:

Yup, they let me in no problem, thanks to your efforts last night, Gustavo. Under 5 minutes.

Thanks for pointing out Stewie's shortcomings and jealousies, Wal. I might never have known otherwise.
He's such a courteous young pup normally. I wonder what got into him  :015: .

I made it to Kelowna BC today. A great ride over high semi arid grassland, giving way to forest once into the wetter mountainous areas on either side of the Canada US border.
Some showers after lunch, but nothing serious until the last leg, rte 33 from Rock Creek to Kelowna when the skies opened
and dumped first rain and then hail. It only lasted about 10 minutes but it cut visibility to about 100 yards so it was down with the speed and on with the four way flashers.

I'll probably spend a couple of days here in Kelowna as my rear tire is down to just under 3/32 and Kelowna is quite a big centre. More chance of picking one up  here than further down the road.
