This photo malarky is way too complicated for me. Anyhoo, the links are photos of the pannier racks on my bike. They look a bit scabby because they are. I picked up the bike cheap and its become a bit of a project. In hind sight not cheap enough. Apologies for the faff in viewing the photos but thats the limit of my brain power.

I quite like the idea of SW Moteck rack as SW Motack quality is usually high. If they can be made to fit how would I do it.

Hey TB,

They are the oem racks. With no modifications you would need Givi 447fz rack arms to be able to fit a Givi plate and top box.

I did the same to my mk1 this week. It is a slight faff to fit but does come together great 👍🏻

A note on the 447fz racks though - Iíve had a nightmare trying to get hold of them. The original uk supplier I ordered from added a 4 week delay, then a 5 week delay on the 4 week expected date. Now another three week delay to the already 9 week extension. Have since cancelled the order and requested a refund.

I did manage to get the last set a European supplier had in stock which was delivered in 10 days.

I also had a third order from an Italian motorcycle shop in Napoli which is due to arrive next week which I will be listing to sell on eBay. Though if this is something youíd want let me know and Iíll put here first.

Accessories and Products / Akrapovic exhaust

I've seen a couple of posts on slip on Akrapovic cans and other makes like Leo Vince

But does anyone have the full titanium Akrapovic system installed on a Mk3? I think it was an official kawasaki accessory.  I'm talking of the full system including the headers. The one I've seen has a carbon fibre bit and sits under the belly like the original. They are VERY expensive though....

If so, I'd welcome any feedback on what you think.
Cheers

If your bike is on a dolly thingy do not lean it to the right to squirt some gt85 on yer clutch lever (it squeaked), because even if you're sitting on it and you've got yer right leg firmly on the ground the ferkin thing can move to the left on its castors quite rapidly and you and the bike end up on the floor of the garage shouting obscenities at the spiders in the trusses.  :125: :125:

luckily I have crash bars and lever guards and had just fixed the top box on so the only damage was a tiny scuff on the bars and hand guards and a big tick in the don't do that again yer feffin eejit column.  :034:

If its not raining in the morning I'll try and meet you lot at the beach tomorrow.!

Yeah, that OEM side case rack with the built-in handles caused a lot of headaches to Versys owners in the early version.  It is possible to fit both, but it requires you to make some mods to the side case rack.  Unless you are handy with a grinder and welder, it may be easier to simply buy one of the aftermarket racks from SW-Motech, etc.  Especially these days when some of those make it on Flea-Bay for pennies (compared to what they cost back in the day).

Having said that, I didn't see a picture of the one fitted to your bike Topbox.  Is it the same as in grumpyoldgit was showing in the other thread?  If it doesn't have the built-in handles, it should work.
