Cleaning the 1000
« on: Jun 05, 2014, 06:59 PM »
I haven't yet carried out a detailed clean of my new Versys apart from giving it a wipe over after each day's work.

Any tips on deep cleaning as an when required as I can see there is alot of plastics etc.

On my old 650 I took of the chain guard, side covers, front sprocket cover to de-gunk etc.

The plastics on the big V are even easier to take off. A few months back I bought electric spray gun, took the plastics off, covered brakes an tires and sprayed the bike with ACF50 (after washing it of course). Will do it again in autumn.
