Oh if you want a nice little meeting place, you might like Lullingstone Park, not far into kent, has a small cafe and bike parking for half a dozen bikes, I tend to use it for meets with a couple of mates normally when kicking off to Margate & the south coast.

You're right, Bike Shed is for polished bikes, beards and trendy 'top knot' haircuts lol.
Like you, I've been once and don't plan on rushing back.

Burnham bends are great and getting into Burnham is good too, they have special parking rules that allow motorcycles to park on yellow lines during the summer! And a couple of lovely ice cream shop's. Well worth a visit again in the future.

The Oakdene Cafe in Kent is my usual meeting place, it's just a typical old truck stop and honest cafe food but might be tbit out of the way for some.
Let's not also forget the Ace Cafe on the north circular.

I'm up for whatever

Yeah Oakdene is a proper transport cafe, lovely fryup and proper mug of tea, however you have to watch the carpark as the lorries chew it up a fair bit.

Bernham bends are great fun, but I'm easy and happy to meet wherever.

unfortunately I'm  a few weeks away from getting back on the road, so unless we have an Indian summer; I'll be just doing local riding as weather permits for the rest of the year, However come the spring I'm up for most excuses to go for a ride or even the odd over night/ weekend away.

heers Mark.

I'll second that  :028:

Riding as necessity, commuting and such like during the winter with a bit of RoSPA thrown in. I'm up for a meet anywhere once the biking season comes round again.

It might be a while before I'm back on the orad as well. 2 weeks into owning the bike someone knocked it over in a carpark and I just received a text from my insurance company saying its likely to be a write off !

I can;t tell you how gutted I am - was loving being on the Versys - especially compared to my other bike (moto Guzzi Breva 750).

just got to wait to see what they offer me.

Do what I've done, my 2009 mk1 was written off Cat N, I got 2750; with a buy back of 750.

As I paid 2,400  just over 6 years ago, I spent a little over 400 repairing it (to be fair most of that was both OEM main panels, I could have save a lot if I'd gone for repair & respray), that means I've had the past 26,000 miles for the 400 repair bill and a free bike.

Hope it all works out for you.

Cheers Mark.
