    Versys 650 Mk2 2010 for sale - SOLD
    on: Jun 27, 2023, 08:48 am
    Jun 27, 2023, 08:48 am
Ebay auction with no reserve price - starting at 350
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195843462876

    Mileage: 71,530
MOT is next due by: 18th of October 2023

V5, spare keys, owner's manual, and original windscreen are available

Valve clearance check was done at 25,000 and 50,000 miles

    The bike starts and runs

Sold as is. See the photos for the condition

Please do get in touch with any further questions

Bank transfer on collection (Glasgow area)

It's time to say goodbye to my beloved 650 and hello to 1000

The bike is not in pristine condition and has fair few miles but it still starts and runs just fine

The bike is sold as is - can't promise how many miles it has left in it or what is the next thing that needs fixing but I never had issues with the engine, I still get decent 200-220 miles per tank and it always got to my destination (with the exception of 2-3 times) in those 60,000 miles that I owned

The listing is probably geared more towards delivery riders or someone who needs a means of transport and doesn't mind scuffs, scratches, louder exhaust, the occasional whiff of exhaust gas and etc.

    Happy bidding!

Unless it needs new rotors, chain, head/wheel bearings , caliper rebuilds then it looks a nice clean bike.

Should get a good price for it .

    Thanks, fingers crossed it sells

The rear wheel rotor got replaced 2 years back so it should be fine for a while. Not sure about front but not had an MOT advisory for that
The front bearing got replaced last month, not sure about the rear or head bearings - not that I or the service people noticed
The callipers got rebuilt a few months ago as well with new brake pads

Sounds like there's some good service history with it.

I'd think about mentioning all the work done and if it has receipts so much the better. It all reassures buyers.

From your previous post - Did you sort all these issues  :027: :027:

Let's see if I can remember all issues
    exhaust sheared off
    Subthrottle valve servos stopped working
    corroded connector inside main harness
open wires on main harness making contact with the frame
2 battery changes, 2 faulty rectifiers, 1 faulty stator
Fan replacement (that's a dealers fault tho)

Those are bigger things that I could say broke due to not of my fault. There are bunch fo smaller things as well that needed fixing and replacing so I wont mention that

    Two more pending fixes left:
    1. Figure out where I am leaking oil (lost like 0.4L over a year)
    2. Fix the leak at exhaust header (a gap developed between engine and exhaust header)

That post was like 15-20k miles ago, I was just complaining about the issues I had to deal with

    • Subthrottle valve servos stopped working - nope, I just got into the habit of giving a bit more throttle with the cold engine
    • corroded connector inside main harness - fixed, wouldn't start otherwise
    • corroded connector inside main harness - patched up as well
    • 2 battery changes, 2 faulty rectifiers, 1 faulty stator - replaced another stator 3 months ago
    • Fan replacement (that's a dealers fault tho) - yup, got one from er6 works fine to this date
    • Figure out where I am leaking oil - I am pretty sure it's not leaking oil. I've found the oil filter slightly loose that was probably the cause. Didnt see the oil level dropping since
    • Fix the leak at exhaust header (a gap developed between engine and exhaust header) - nope that is still there. Bolts are in poor shape so I am not even going to attempt. As per MOT note, it's a minor leak. Exhaust and downpipe is still in one piece

Good point, something to consider. Though I barely have any receipts with the exception of valve clearance. Figured there is little point in keeping them at this age and mileage when most of the maintenance and repairs I do myself.
